Destination: Riviera Maya
Bohemian and airy meets crisp and bright.
The Vibe
Riviera Maya spans the Caribbean coastline of Quintana Roo just south of Cancun all the way down to the stunning Sian Ka’an biosphere. Stylish locals and visitors alike toe the line between bohemian cuts with natural fabrics and, crisp, colorful resort wear. Tulum is a boho-paradise, filled with tiny bikinis and sheer, gauzy dresses that take travelers from days on the beach to nights in some of the greatest bars and restaurants south of the border. Think Free People, but with a focus on sustainability and fair trade. With some of the top-rated hotels in the world (including Hotel Esencia, which we’re dying to try!), other spots along the Riviera Maya tend to feature more classic resort wear. We like a mix of both.
What To Pack
Dresses that double as cover-ups for lunch and drinks on the beach or by the pool. Minimalist sandals that go with everything. A stylish beach bag and funky sunnies. Something colorful and chic to wear for dinner (Farm Rio always fits the bill).
